Your Role in the Great Commission
Jesus was clear: “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). This isn’t just a task for pastors, leaders, or full-time missionaries—it’s the personal calling of every believer. If we aren’t participating in making disciples of all nations in some way, we are being disobedient to Jesus.
At MFC, we recognize that God has given us a unique opportunity. More than 22 cultures from around the world gather in our church. The nations have come to us! But we can’t stop there—we must go further, supporting missionary projects in the nations represented in our church and to the ends of the earth.
A Personal Invitation
We invite you to pause and reflect:
-
What role are you playing in God’s mission?
-
Are you a spectator, or an active participant in the Great Commission?
-
Will you join us in changing this reality and obeying Jesus together?
Today you have the opportunity to say: “I want to be part of this.” No matter your age, background, or gifts—we all have a role to play.
Practical Steps to Get Involved
On our Missions page you’ll find more details and testimonies (see here), but here’s a clear plan of action:
Pray
The missionary movement begins with prayer. Make missions part of your daily prayer life. Pray for our projects, our ambassadors, the nations represented at MFC, and the new opportunities God will open.
Support
You can make a difference by financially supporting the missionary projects already underway. Every gift, big or small, is an eternal seed that God multiplies for His Kingdom.
Participate
-
Join one of our short-term mission trips.
-
Support local missions in Brandon and Tampa Bay, reaching the diverse cultures already among us.
-
Serve as a volunteer in our missions initiatives.
Become an Ambassador
If God is calling you beyond a specific project, consider becoming an MFC Missions Ambassador for your country of origin or for a nation in need. Ambassadors help coordinate, oversee, and maintain the living connection between our church and the missionary projects in that nation.
Join the Missions Administrative Board
The Board guides, supports, and oversees all MFC missions work—local and international. Get involved in strategic areas such as:
-
General direction and project oversight
-
Finance and resource management
-
Coordination of ambassadors and international projects
-
Communication and missions culture within the church
Being part of the Board isn’t just serving on a committee—it’s stepping into a key role in advancing God’s Kingdom through MFC.
A Final Challenge
Today we invite you to move beyond emotion or good intentions. Love and passion for missions are a great start, but they are not the end. Take a step of faith, get involved, and obey the call of Jesus.
The Holy Spirit is looking for men and women who are willing. Are you one of them?

👉 Decide today to be part of the Great Commission—not just in words, but in action.
If everyone at MFC joins in, we will see the flags of many nations waving in our parking lot, projects flourishing in diverse cultures, and ambassadors carrying hope to distant places.
From our church, to the nations, and to the ends of the earth.
