Missions

What We Have Done

Up to the present, our church has connected with Compassion International, and through this ministry, individually, many in our church have sponsored children in different parts of the world. These children and their families are cared for by local churches in their countries, where they are not only lifted out of poverty in Jesus' name but also receive the Gospel and discipleship. Pastor Alain had the opportunity to personally witness the extraordinary work Compassion does in El Salvador and maintains excellent relations with this reputable missionary ministry.

Through Compassion, we engage in missions in a very efficient manner, which pleases us, but at the same time, this happens very quietly, at least corporately. Up to the present (April 2024), as a congregation, we do not have an organized mission ministry, we had not undertaken missionary trips as a church, and we had not collaborated in supporting churches or projects in other countries or in planting new churches. That is about to change.

The Mission's Vision

In obedience to the command of our Lord Jesus, we want to make disciples "of all nations." With the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit, we want to plan and execute an efficient, long-term missionary plan.

At Multicultural Family Church, we want to expand the kingdom in our region, in the United States, and internationally. Locally, this means opening other MFC campuses.

In our church, there are over 18 nationalities or cultures represented, most of them Spanish speaking. We want to engage in missions in each of these countries, either by supporting a missionary project connected with a healthy local church or by planting a new church there.

There are many other countries where Spanish is not spoken, and where we do not yet have representation in our church. Often, the need for missionary work and church planting in these countries is even greater than in Latin America. To reach these countries, we have partnered with The Timothy Initiative (TTI). Pastor Alain had the opportunity to personally experience the excellent work that TTI does in Mexico, as they do with greater impact in Asia, Africa, and other regions of the world. Through the Timothy Initiative, we want to plant churches in these countries, as they (TTI) take care of 100% of the training and church planting with exactly the same mission as our church. We can collaborate in planting a new church with a very small financial contribution since it is not about salaries, buildings, or costly material goods. When we adopt the planting of a new church through TTI, we have direct contact with that church and its leaders, and we can eventually make missionary trips there, get to know them personally, and experience their church life in their communities.

The Plan

1- Identify "ambassadors," representatives of our church, and assign them to our missionary work in each of the countries represented in our church or in other countries through TTI.

2- Develop a unique missionary work plan for each country, following the following rules:

  • Each missionary project must be connected to a healthy local church (preferably independent) with healthy leadership.
  • Each missionary project must be self-sustainable, not relying entirely on financial aid from MFC.
  • There must be open communication and accountability between that church, our ambassador, and the leadership of MFC.

3- Let’s get to work!
